Ten years from its launch, the Armani/Casa division of the Giorgio Armani Group has established itself as a global leader in the luxury interiors market. The Dominique Kieffer by Rubelli collection comes out from two worlds meeting. The magic of Rubelli, built on a savoir-faire that has its roots from the past. And the colourful, eclectic and unconventional world of Paola Navone.

Donghia Inc. was founded in the Sixties in New York by the brilliant Angelo Donghia, an enterprising designer of Italian origin. In 2005, following the acquisition of the brand by the venerable Venetian company Rubelli, Donghia returned to its Italian roots.

A line of upholstered furniture and accessories with which the historic Venice textiles company intends expanding its product range, offering its customers special pieces, each with their own personality (not strictly related to classic or design categories) in a sort of refined and timeless eclecticism, in line with the Rubelli style. The first series of furniture, designed by the Milanese architect Luca Scacchetti, was born in Venice and Milan and embodies the special features of the two cities: the exuberance and taste for decoration of the first are offset by the restraint and rationality of the second, the undisputed capital of Italian design.

In Wonderland Rubelli Venezia 2016. An endless sequence of colours - subtle, soft, elegant, fresh, bright, deep and understated for a large number of plain colour fabrics with strong personality. A new take on texture. A play on contrasting materials. 3D effects and overlaps. Lampas with metallic weaves creates an irregular grid pattern or dots that appear chiselled. Silk that is a contemporary restyling of patterns that have made history. Chenille with a raised wavy effect. Textured fabrics in which the elaborately constructed weaves gain in importance over the actual pattern. These are the strong points of the Rubelli Venezia 2016 collection, the result of ongoing and constant research into technology and designs by the Rubelli Design Studio. A collection in which the old and new live peaceably and democratically side by side, where old is a byword for inestimable value which is the source, now as in the distant past, of the wonder when faced with the richness and beauty of silk or a special manufacturing technique. The cotton is high quality, the silk timeless and the viscose alternates between shiny and matte. Floral or geometric patterns reference familiar and fantasy shapes. Metallic weaves add luxury and appeal. The ageless charm of shimmering fabrics.
