Piuarch will show the Kinetic Garden

At Fuorisalone 2016 Piuarch pays tribute to Carlos Cruz-Diez, Venezuelan artist, with an optical installation created with botanical essences. Chromatic effects make dynamic and suggestive the roof of the studio, via Palermo 1, Milan.

For the Design Week 2016, Piuarch dedicates to the kinetic art the special set-up of the rooftop garden in Via Palermo 1.

In the heart of Brera, the Kinetic Garden is a tribute to the work of the Venezuelan artist Carlos Cruz-Diez, he has always been a reference point and inspiration for the Studio.

The project is a collaboration with landscape architect Cornelius Gavril, with flowers and fragrances, he designs the space in order to give the visitor the feeling of movement and dynamism typical of the optical art.

The peculiar structure of flower beds and pallets created by Piuarch on the roof of the building housing the Studio, host 4 plants - two varieties of salad in red and green colors and two pansy in orange and blue - arranged in straight lines that are repeated constantly, where each color defines a uniform strip.

The chromatic effect is amplified by the use of triangular axis placed along the lines of color, to increase the depth. The installation creates an active relationship between space and the visitors: the image changes and becomes dynamic thanks to the people's movement in space.

The partners of the project are Verde Vivo for the preparation of plants and Vivai Mandelli who realized the construction.

Piuarch

Piuarch was established in 1996, the brainchild of its four founding partners Francesco Fresa, Germàn Fuenmayor, Gino Garbellini and Monica Tricario. Today approximately thirty architects and engineers, from all four corners of the world, work there headed by four partners and 11 associates. Piuarch's projects take form from the recuperation of industrial areas to public buildings, complexes for residential and office purposes and town planning. The encounter with Dolce&Gabbana marked the beginning of a collaboration that has been going on for ten years and that has resulted in the realization of more than forty boutiques all over the world, the Milan headquarters of Dolce&Gabbana, the Factory in Incisa in Val d’Arno and the requalification of the ex Metropol theatre, now multi-functional space for event and fashion shows. In recent years Piuarch has developed a number of projects abroad. It is active in Russia, where it has an operational office, and in Ukraine, with projects in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi and Kiev. Among the most recent projects: the Business Centre Quattro Corti in Saint Petersburg, the Headquarters of Bentini in Faenza and the office building in the area of Porta Nuova, Milan. Currently, under construction, the redevelopment of the former Caproni areas in Milan. Piuarch is "Italian Architect of the year 2013". Prize given by the National Institute of Architects and in collaboration with MAXXI - National Museum of the 21st Century Arts in Rome.
