The exhibition space hosts Internoitaliano in presenting its products highlighting the new collection in a special temporary store where the items can also be purchased on the spot. Among this year’s new arrivals are a chair (designed by Alessandro Gnocchi, making his first appearence in the catalogue), a writing desk and newly designed stationery products (including the first product for the brand by Matteo Ragni).
Internoitaliano involved three examples par excellence of Italian craftsmanship, here to present their projects and objects to the public: Fattobene, Lanificio Leo and Tobeus. A singlular space dedicated to companies with a markedly Italian character and a shared passion for quality worksmanship.
FATTOBENE is an atlas of Italian everyday icons. Its aim is to discover their exceptional stories and curate a shop to sell them worldwide. The platform is curated by Anna Lagorio (journalist) and Alex Carnevali (photographer).
Lanificio Leo is the oldest Calabrian textile factory that continues to run a monumental fleet of late nineteenth century machines with which contemporary collections of textiles for the home and small fashion accessories are created. Founded in 1873, Lanificio Leo is one of the most significant examples of
company-museum in which the logics of design-oriented production and values related to industrial heritage are integrated in a management model that combines
"doing business" with cultural tools.
TobeUs was born as a vent of a designer who hates the sight of his kids playing only for a few moments with toys to be later forgotten or destroyed. So it seemed obvious to choose the right material. A material with a recognizable smell and an unquestioned resistance to impacts and to trials. Then, when the time comes, it is better to give it a dignified end: recycling or reuse. That’s how the idea of TobeUs was born. Toy cars made of strong and sweet scented cedar wood. Beautiful and smart objects, because designed by sharp and passionate designers.
