Massimiliana Brianza is a young designer who having deep roots in art and traditional materials. She graduated at the Caravaggio Art Institute of Brescia and she majored in polychrome wooden sculpture at the Academy of Botticino. After completing her studies she moved to Rome, where she worked at Cultural heritage Conservation laboratory and she attends a Master of Museum events organization. Then she decides to get experience in London where she worked with some galleries and design studios. She is so close to the design world and decided to give life to her project. She follows every step of the creative and production process, from the concept to the executive development of products, characterized by a focus on sensory perception. Each product is made entirely by hand in the laboratory. My projects are born by a momentary infatuation for a shape, a color, a material. This gives start to a series of ideas which become sketches and later materialize into three-dimensional and color surfaces. The young designer confides us to be a great observer, constantly stimulated by external factors that inspired it and to devote a lot of time and attention to the research and experimentation in which she tries to alienate to create a connection between the material, the three-dimensional geometry and color. Her creations are born from a technical approach to the projects, but the result is an artistic artifact ever more surprising and unique, like PEEL, a cut aluminum panel and rounded by hand with small iron pipes realized on an ultra lightweight frame covered with eco leather and fabric; or PUNTO, the piece realized in jute, a raw material that Massimiliana transforms and enhances in all its preciousness, maintaining its identity and its nature.
